So I finally got off my sorry butt and updated the forum. We're now running PHPBB v3.0.2, with has some great updates on the backend, as well as the frontend for you guys. All the data from the old board was ported across sucessfully, and everyone's stuff should be right where they left it. The user database was pruned to delete any accounts that have been inactive more than one month with no posts. If you find that you are deleted and you want to re-register you can if you want. The updated board should also hopefully be able to fight off the spambots better now, as the 3.0 version has some nifty tools for that. I've currently been unable to determine how or where this picture was taken, and by whom. The webmaster of that site is apparently a foreign exchange student who is currently in Spain and out of contact. If anyone can confirm or deny the authenticity of the screen please let me know!

So a few of you may have noticed the site went totally whack yesterday, and actually reverted to it's origonal layout at one point. This is because I screwed something up while updating things and had to request a restore from my server host, because I'm a nub and didn't do a backup before doing significant changes. :p But all is well now, I apologize if you lost a thread or a post during that crazy time, I'm pretty sure I got them all back. In addition, I've made some modifications to the board that will hopefully prevent a lot of the spambots from registering themselves and posting links. Happy New Year everyone!

Well it was inevitable, and I'm honestly kind of suprised it took this long (site has been up for almost a year! whoa!) but we're starting to get deluged with spam posts for pills and porn. The mods and I will try to keep on top of it, and hopefully in the next few days I'll get around to implementing some anti-spam autoban mod code for the forums. I probably should have done it to begin with since I've seen how bad it can get on my other forums, but meh , I'm lazy. :p In the mean time, please don't respond or flame anyone who posts ads for pills and crap if you manage to spot them before we send them to post hell, it only draws attention to it.
